IF you went down to the woods you were in for a surprise when school children dressed as favourite fictional characters to plant trees.
Shrek and Little Red Riding Hood teamed up with Harry Potter and the Gingerbread Man at Grange Valley Primary’s woodland area in Haydock.
The event was to mark World Book Day.
