A TRAVEL entrepreneur who is the brains behind a low-cost flight operator visited students to pass on hints and tips at making it in the industry.

Daniel Reilly created jetxtra.com which operates flights out of Humberside Airport to Alicante and Majorca.

A former Merseyside police officer, he spoke to Travel and Tourism students at St Helens College to host a motivational career seminar.

After a three-year spell with the force, Daniel, who is from Maghull, made a dramatic career switch taking up a role in the airline business.

He explained: “I enjoyed the opportunity to share my story with the students. I highlighted the importance of gaining work experience in the industry and of networking. I have achieved my dream and I have every faith that with hard work and determination the students will too.”
