A PRIMARY school has earned top marks from church inspectors.
St Aidan’s CE, in Billinge, was ranked ‘outstanding’ in the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report.
It noted: “The school is extremely successful in creating a high level of care, educationally and socially, for children and their parents.”
It went on to praise parents for the pride that they feel in their children attending St Aidan’s, the “inclusive nature of the school – where curiosity is nurtured and all are welcomed”.
Head teacher Melanie Ravenscroft said: “Children, parents, staff and governors are all so proud of their achievements, and the recognition that has been given to the work of the school and St Aidan’s Church.”
The school was ranked ‘good’ by Ofsted in 2012.
