A WOMAN has admitted threatening supermarket staff while armed with a hypodermic needle as she attempted to steal alcohol.

Krystel Heywood, 24, will appear at Liverpool Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday, March 27) to face three counts following an incident in Morrisons on Boundary Road last December.

Heywood, who was remanded in custody following a hearing at St Helens Magistrates’ Court, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour, attempted theft and carrying the needle.

She is being held in Styal Prison.
