PROUD Army Cadets from the Newton-le-Willows detachment of the Merseyside Army Cadet Force are pictured here after receiving an award after an amazing Poppy Appeal performance.
Royal British Legion representatives Christine Bradford and John Burns presented a certificate to them in recognition of their assistance in raising £12,705 in 2013, almost £4,000 more than the previous year.
WSI Amanda Stock received a special mention for her dedication which included collecting at Tesco’s store daily for almost two weeks.
“This is a great feat for both the RBL and the detachment,” said 2nd Lieutenant Michael Croft, the Detachment Commander.
