PUPILS at a school in Parr will be stretching their legs on Friday to rasie as much money as possible for Sport Relief.

Allanson Street Primary School children will take part in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile with each class being sponsored by friends, family and the community by running a mile around the school grounds.

Before they start their run classmates will be put through their warming-up paces by a Saints’ player.

School PE leader Rachel Hawkins said: “It’s an excellent way for pupils, staff and the community to combine and get active, have fun and raise money for a great cause.”

The money raised will help to change the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
