A MAN arrested on suspicion of making homophobic abuse against a woman has been released on police bail.
Officers were called to Forrester Avenue in Thatto Heath at around 6pm on Saturday (March 15) following reports that a man had got out of a car and made the abusive remarks.
Following enquiries made at the scene police arrested a 46-year-old man from Leeds on suspicion of a homophobically aggravated public order offence.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing and anyone with further information is asked to call the non-emergency 101 number.
