ALMOST 15 months since undergoing major surgery in the United States little Susanna Petersburska laced up her trainers to take part in the children’s 2K, the junior section of the St Helens 10K.
The five-year-old (pictured bottom right), who suffers from cerebral palsy, travelled to St Louis in 2012 where she underwent a pioneering technique to help her walk. On Sunday Susanna was joined by her family, big sister Maja, mum Monika and dad Andy.
Monika explained that the girls took part to raise money for their school Blackbrook St Mary’s.
“I’m very proud of both my girls,” she said.
