St Helens Star: Paul Sculthorpe in his Saints days Paul Sculthorpe in his Saints days

FORMER Saints captain Paul Sculthorpe and former professional rugby league player Jimmy Gittins will be the special guest speakers at the St Helens Chamber Open Day this Wednesday morning.

Ex-Great Britain international Paul is also currently commercial manager at Saints, as well as an inspirational speaker for Engage Presenters.

Fellow motivational speaker Jimmy was forced to retire from playing 10 years ago due to a broken neck in two places and was told he would never walk again.

Just nine months later Jimmy walked out of hospital.

The pair will present the ‘Will to Win’ which will cover the incredible roller coaster challenges and triumphs of both men.

The talk will cover the need to make sacrifices to achieve success, and how to take responsibility for your own success and failure, the importance of setting goals and will talk about how to change perspective and use it to achieve what has was thought of as “impossible.”

The Open Day, which begins at 9am, offers an opportunity for business people in the area to network, will also offer the chance to learn about the Chamber’s membership services and 365 campaign among other things.
