MEMBERS of the armed forces community will be able to receive help and advice thanks to a joint venture between the Royal British Legion and the Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB).
From Friday the Legion’s Advice and Information Officer Denise Barber will we available at the CAB in the Millennium Centre on Corporation Street to offer support to serving personnel, veterans and their families.
She will be based at the centre every third Friday of the month from 10am to 12.30pm. Denise will also direct people to other welfare services and will be able to offer advice on those wishing to join the Legion.
Karl Pearce, chief executive at CAB, said: “St Helens CAB is very much looking forward to working closely with the Legion to benefit the people in St Helens.”
