Man bailed following death of cyclist

FLORAL tributes are being left at the scene of a hit and run in which a cyclist died.

A post mortem revealed that 47-year-old Terry Brown from Great Sankey in Warrington died as a result of a head injury following the incident on Warrington Road, Bold Heath early on Tuesday morning (February 18).

A 38-year-old man also from Great Sankey was released last night (Wednesday) on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

He had been arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

An investigation by Merseyside Police's roads policing department and St Helens CID remains ongoing.
