A 47-YEAR-OLD man injured following a hit-and-run in Bold Heath yesterday (Tuesday, 18 February) died in hospital last night.

Police have also confirmed a 38-year-old man was arrested in Warrington yesterday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
  
He remains in police custody.

An investigation into the collsion that happened before 6.30am at Warrington Road, Bold Heath on Tuesday is ongoing.

POLICE yesterday reported that the cyclist who died was 57-years-old. They have now said that he is in fact 47.

A spokesman from the force said: "The incorrect date of birth had been given to the police while the incident was in its early stages and we issued the age of 57 in good faith."
