WOMEN’S fashion retailer Roman has created eight jobs with its new store at Church Square Shopping Centre.

It’s a return to the town for the Birmingham-based company, and is part of a roll-out of new branches across north west England.

Church Square Shopping centre manager Steve Brogan said: “I am delighted that Roman has opened up on the site of the former Miss Selfridge store.

“It’s just in time for the new spring ranges and this brand will be very popular with our shoppers.”

I've just been to Fingerpost where it is clear to see that there are more people shopping there than there is in our so called Town Centre. The place is vibrant and it is clear they are providing what people want in a shopping area.

Typical petty small minded comments on here. There's tons of moaning about takeaways and pound shops spoiling the town, a new retailer comes in and your STILL not happy! as for the local workers issue, I expect like any other employer, they'll choose those most suited to the jobs.
Seriously, all this negativity about a new employer coming in is damaging to the town, get over it.

Gypo joe got sent to the gypsy site in star lane dressed in womens attire to investigate the gypsy residents but they realised who he was and chased him back to his car an ever since that day the piece of sheet has been using a racist username on the shopper to try insult the gypsy peeps lol; he has a thing about irish and german gypsys starting with the irish Gaelic fotballers perhaps he tried to start up a team with the Star lane brigade who chased him off their site and yet they are still there and Gypo Joe is too terrified to visit the site Lol must have left a startling reminder of the event on the fool LOL

You sure that aint spelt >gay lick< when it comes to Gypo Joe? haha If you can pull him away from his secret admirer favourite read of VoF you'll find him dressed in stockings & suspenders usually going in the ladies toilets to inspect the cleansing contractors duties!
Gypo Joe is following in a long family tradition of cleaning toilets so getting dressed up incognito style enables him to go into the ladies loos undetected!
as Scoff says monstered innit!! haha
