TOURISM students didn’t have to travel far to sample a selection of world cuisines before hitting the ski slopes at the UK’s longest indoor skiing and snowboarding attraction.
St Helens College students working towards a Level 1 and 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism visited Manchester’s Event City where they learned about different cultures, cuisines and countries.
Previous learners have progressed onto the Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism, into the travel industry or to an industry specific programmes for cabin crew, airport or aviation operations.
Level 2 student, Chloe Lamb, said: “The trip was great, we learned about different types of tour operators and their services. We loved the ski session too.”
Daniel Thompson, on a Level 1 course, said: “The trip really helped with my studies, it was educational and fun! The ski session was a highlight!”
