THE inquest has opened into the death of a man killed in a house fire.

Christopher Murphy, aged 43, was squatting in an empty home in Manchester Road, Bolton, on January 24 when a fire started in the property.

The 43-year-old, who was originally from St Helens, died following the fire that started at about 6pm.

An inquest into Mr Murphy’s death was opened and adjourned at Bolton Coroners' Court this week.
