Sports fields closed again ahead of expected deluge
WATERLOGGED council sports fields will again close this weekend because of the heavy rainfall throughout January and into February.
The forecast of more wet weather over Friday night and during Saturday afternoon has alos influenced the council's decision.
A council spokesman said: "They will close this weekend - Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9 to protect the playing surfaces for future fixtures."
