MOTORISTS and pedestrians are being warned after a spate of gully thefts left drains and pathways uncovered.

St Helens Council says several have gone missing in West Park, posing a threat to both drivers and pedestrians.

It is believed the covers have been targeted by metal thieves. Police have been alerted.

If anyone sees anything suspicious they can report it in confidence to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
