A PROVISIONAL trial date has been set for a man accused of causing death by dangerous driving over a crash involving a hen party bus in West Yorkshire.

Bethany Jones, 18, died and 12 people were injured in the crash with a lorry on the M62 in April.

Kevin Ollerhead, of Lincoln Crescent, Haresfinch, and James Johnson, of Whytecote End, Bradford, appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Monday and were bailed.

Mr Johnson, 62, was driving the minibus and Mr Ollerhead, 44, the lorry when they collided near Pontefract.

Miss Jones, from South Elmsall, near Wakefield, was among the 21 women on the bus heading to Liverpool.

The case was adjourned until May 2 when the men are expected to enter a plea. A provisional trial date was set for October 13.
