TWO cookery students experienced the heat of the professional kitchen thanks to a partnership between St Helens College and Saints.
Jordanne Atherton, 19, and Ben Nikolls, 17, undertook the work experience at Langtree Park for their professional cookery course programme.
They enjoyed working during the festive period, preparing for Christmas functions and parties at the home of the Saints.
They joined a busy team helping to make scones, pies and chocolate tarts as well as waiting on.
Both have completed their NVQ level two in professional Cookery at St Helens College, and are working towards level three.
Jordanne, an ex-Sutton High pupil, enrolled at the college to help fulfil his aspirations to be a chef.
Ben, a former St Edmund Arrowsmith High School pupil from Ashton, has already gained experience having started work in a Tapas bar.
