A YOUNG man has been charged with possessing more than 25,000 indecent images and inciting under age teenage boys to commit sexual activity via a webcam.

Shane Carter, from Ellison Drive in Eccleston, faces 16 charges in total. These include possessing 25,364 indecent photographs of children, including ten in the most serious category.

The 20-year-old is also accused of making eight indecent photographs of children between July 2009 and January 2012 ranging in seriousness from category one to five.

He also faces three counts of distributing images and further charges of inciting boys aged 15, 14, and 13 to commit sexual activity on webcam via the internet.

He is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, February 14.
