SINGER, songwriter and worship leader Noel Richards who has entertained audiences of tens of thousands at Wembley and Berlin’s Olympic stadium will host a free concert on Sunday, March 2 at St John’s Church, Ravenhead.

He and his band have rocked at Bolton’s Reebok and sold out at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, but Noel, with his wife Tricia, will bring an intimate acoustic concert to St Helens.

Despite having been song writing partners for over three decades the first time Noel and Tricia have taken to the recording studio together was for their new album Favourite Place that contains songs that Noel describes as being on the themes of “faith, life, love and friendship – the things most important to us”.

Also included in the concert will be a number of Noel’s classic worship songs which have found a home in churches around the globe. He currently has seventeen songs in the UK’s top 500 Christian songs.

Concert organiser Paul Henry said: “It will be a pleasure to host Noel and Tricia at St John’s Church. Their songs are popular with our congregation – so we’re hoping people from across the town and beyond will come to sing along. Noel and Tricia are preparing a good mixture of songs, so everybody should have a great evening. Tickets are free, so everybody is invited to join us.”

Refreshments will be served and Noel and Tricia will be available to sign copies of their CDs. The concert begins at 7pm (doors open 6.30pm when any unallocated tickets will be available). Free tickets are available to order from www.stjohnsravenhead.org.uk or ring 07463 641267.
