Updated 4:57pm Wednesday 22nd January 2014 in News
PEOPLE are being warned to be cautious after prescription medication was lost in St Helens yesterday (Tuesday, January 21).
It is reported to be a box of 36.5mg of morphine sulphate tablets ‘MST’ and is understood to have been lost in the grounds of St Helens Hospital on Marshalls Cross Road.
Police have issued a reminder to people that taking medication which hasn’t been prescribed for them can be dangerous and even fatal.
CCTV from the area will be examined and inquiries are continuing.
Anyone who finds any of the tablets is asked to hand it in to any pharmacy, police enquiry desk or contact the police non-emergency 101 number.
