ONE of the area’s best-loved natural beauty spots will come under the microscope next Tuesday (January 14) when the borough’s heritage outreach officer Dr Tom Preston gives an illustrated talk at Moss Bank Library.
Carr Mill Dam has been a favourite location for pleasure and sport for almost 200 years and the event will feature rarely seen photographs, maps and documents relating to its history up to its decline as a recreational magnet in the late 1960s.
Places are limited and booking is essential. Call 01744 677988 for details.
