UPDATE: Missing teenager Lynden Hodgkinson found safe and well
A 13-year-old boy missing from his home since Saturday (January 4) has been found safe and well.
Police were growing increasingly concerned as to the whereabouts of 13-year-old Lynden Hodkinson who was last seen at his home on Cambridge Road.
Following an intensive search police patrols tracked him to an address in St Helens following two calls made by members of the public to the Missing People’s Helpline.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: “Officers would like to thank the media for publicising the appeal and the public for their response.”
FAMILY and friends are becoming increasingly concerned as to the whereabouts of 13-year-old Lynden Hodgkinson who has been missing for three days.
Lynden was last seen at his home on Cambridge Road on Saturday, January 4.
Since he was reported missing police have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries and detectives are viewing CCTV to try and track his movements.
His worried family are appealing to Lynden or anyone who knows where he is to contact the police.
Lynden is described as being white, 5ft 3ins tall, of a slim build with short mousey coloured hair.
It's believed he may be wearing a black and blue tracksuit and grey Nike 110 trainers.
Lynden is known to regularly visit the area known as ‘the hotties’ on St Helens canal, Taylor Park and Thatto Heath.
He is originally from Blacon in the Chester area of Cheshire and officers believe he may have returned there.
Officers would urge Lynden or anyone who has seen him since Saturday, 4 January to contact Merseyside Police on either 0151 777 6952, or via the police non-emergency 101 number, or Missing People on 116000.
