A CHOIR which has just celebrated its 90th anniversary is looking for a new conductor.

In 2013 Haydock Male Voice Choir celebrated in style with a number of concerts from St Helens Town Hall to the Isle of Man.

In October the 70 strong choir won the male voice section of the Isle of Man Choral Festival against quality opposition from north and south Wales and Yorkshire.

Throughout their nine decades, the choir has built a strong reputation in the competition winning several categories.

They have raised thousands for charity and belt out their pride in their home town wherever they perform.

However as 2013 drew to a close their conductor Alan Herbert who had been with the choir for eight years retired on health grounds.
