IT’S the final countdown for singing sensation Allessandria Sivori.
On January 18 the talented 21 year-old from Newton-le-Willows will compete at the NEC Birmingham in the grand final of the Open Mic UK competition.
The former Carmel College student has had a hectic few weeks with a series of Christmas appearances in the St Helens, Halton and Warrington areas.
“To say I am nervous as the final approaches is an understatement!” said Allessandria who idolises Celine Dion.
“I have tried so hard throughout the competition and I have to get it spot on to impress the judges and show them that I am worthy of winning!”
Allessandria is just one step away from the overall first prize of £5,000 to spend developing their music.
Other cash runner-up prizes will be presented and the winners will receive extensive publicity and an opportunity to go on a nationwide tour.
An Open Mic UK spokesman said: “We are searching for an act that not only has the live ability to impress an audience, industry judges and A&R associates, but an act that has the potential to become a professional recording artist. The Open Mic UK Grand Final is the best place to showcase talent in front of a massive crowd and celebrity judges. It’s going to be a huge event and an experience of a lifetime for all our finalists.”
