St Helens Star: Whatever the weather keen walkers are happy in the great outdoors Whatever the weather keen walkers are happy in the great outdoors

THE chance to walk off the excesses of the festive season is being offered by the St Helens Group of the Ramblers Association.

The Group has arranged a six-and-a-half-mile walk on Saturday January 4 in the Widnes area.

Anyone wishing to join the walk should meet at the Birchley Street car park at 9.30 am or they can go directly to the start of the walk at the Observatory Public House Car Park, on Queensbury Way, Widnes at 10am.

“It will be a circular walk and will finish up at the pub again for a drink, or lunch if people wish,” said Footpaths Officer Dave Callan.

For further details, contact Dave on 01744 817492 or walk leader Jim Mather on 0151 424 0140.
