A HEADTEACHER who was being investigated for allegedly possessing indecent images of children was found dead in a hotel room.
Police were called to the hotel in Sutton Manor on Thursday, December 19 following the discovery of the body of Ronan Dunne.
The 43-year-old from St Helens was head at St Columba’s Catholic Primary School in Huyton.
A police spokesman said that a post mortem has been carried out and at this time his death is “unexplained”.
They confirmed that he was subject to a police investigation relating to the downloading and possession of indecent images of children, adding: “At this moment there is nothing to suggest that these images are of any children Mr Dunne has had contact with.”
