FOR most of the runners taking part in Saturday’s Santa Dash that big red suit helped keep them wrapped up warm – but that certainly wasn’t the case for ex-Saints winger Chris Smith.
He ditched the usual Father Christmas attire and instead sported a tiny pair of red trunks on the 5km run around the grounds of Sutton Leisure Centre.
But at least his face was kept warm for a spell by the stick on beard.
Haydock ARLFC coach Chris Smith was a friend of Steve Prescott, who passed away last month, and has taken part in challenges for the SPF charity.
The Santa Dash was co-organised by Willowbrook Hospice and the SPF.
