ENJOY delicious food and an evening of live entertainment and help light up Hoylake for Christmas!

That's the invitation from Marco's New York Italian restaurant which is staging a charity night at 7.30pm on Friday, November 22.

The Christmas lights in Hoylake will cost around £2,000 this year and it is hoped half of this will be raised at the Marco event.

A spokesman from Hoylake Village Life, which is responsible for the lights, said: "We would like to thank Marco’s New York Italian for hosting this event free of charge.

"It will be a really great night, for a really great cause."

Restaurant manager Aldo Bove said: "We're very excited to host this fundraiser, which promises to be a fabulous event and the perfect evening in the lead up to Christmas.

"As a Hoylake business, it is so important for us to do all we can for the local community.

"This is our way of saying thank you for their continued support throughout the year, and to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas. Hopefully the lights will bring some festive cheer to the town."

On the night there will be entertainment from singer Caroline England, The Love Toes, Just Gerry and The Semi-Acoustics.

They can sample Marco’s sumptuous buffet and could win all sorts of amazing prizes in a raffle, with prizes kindly donated by local businesses.

Tickets, £12.50, are available from Urbane, The Little Deli and Vanilla Lounge.

Marco’s New York Italian is located at The Kings Gap.
