A BACKING dancer for the likes of The Saturdays and Cheryl Cole added glamour to a shopping centre’s fashion show.
Church Square Shopping Centre played host to Fashion On The Move, with a pop-up catwalk to show off the latest outfits from the stores for the autumn/winter season.
Leading the team of model dancers, watched by hundreds of shoppers, was Johnny White, who had taken time out from touring with girl band The Saturdays for the event.
Church Square Shopping Centre manager, Steven Brogan, said: “The centre was turned into a giant catwalk for Fashion On The Move as shoppers watched the top professional models from across the UK.
“The two men and three girls strutted their stuff to music by Lady Gaga and the Arctic Monkeys, as they showcased the very latest designer ranges from Church Square retailers.
“It’s a great concept and shoppers really enjoyed the show.
“There was a real buzz about the place and the atmosphere was brilliant.
“There was a really positive vibe around the shopping centre and everyone had a great time.”
Fashion On The Move featured five stylish shows every hour from 11.30am until 4pm, with the team lead by dance captain Johnny, who said: “It was certainly very different to the tour I am doing with The Saturdays for their new single, but it was a lot of fun and the shoppers seemed to enjoy it.
“For me it was my first visit to St Helens, and it was a chance to see all the new styles, as I love shopping on the High Street.”
