Police hunt gang after cash machine blown out at NatWest in Prescot
POLICE are hunting a gang of thieves who blew out a cash machine escaping with thousands of pounds.
They struck in the early hours of Thursday morning at the NatWest on Eccleston Street, Prescot.
At around 2.30am emergency services received reports of an explosion. When officers attended they found that the cash machine outside the bank had been substantially damaged.
A cordon was set up and house to house enquiries were carried out.
A police spokesman said: “At this stage it is unclear as to how exactly the machine was damaged but CCTV and forensic enquiries are ongoing.”
