Boy, 12, dies after bike collides with 10A bus travelling between St Helens and Liverpool

A 12-YEAR-OLD cyclist has died after he was knocked down by a bus travelling from St Helens.
Emergency services were called to the collision, which took place on Prescot Road, Fairfield at about 6.30pm last night (September 3).
The boy was taken to Alder Hey children’s hospital where he was in a critical condition. He died at 1.45pm today.
The Liverpool Echo reported the schoolboy was riding a BMX-style bike at the time of the collision with the number 10A bus which travels from St Helens to Liverpool.
A police spokeswoman said: "The driver of the bus continues to assist investigators with their enquiries."
