A £5MILLION care home that stands on the site of a former pub has created more than 50 new jobs.
Colliers Croft, which offers residential and dementia care, opened its doors on Clipsley Lane in Haydock after land where the Wagon and Horses once stood was redeveloped.
More than 65 members of the caring profession, businesses and the Mayor of St Helens, Councillor Andy Bowden were present for the unveiling by Highpoint Care.
It provides space for 60 older people, including rooms with en-suite bedrooms.
