8:51am Monday 19th August 2013 in News
PARENTS of babies and toddlers can learn first aid skills when Wigan and St Helens NCT holds a course on Saturday, September 7.
The course will equip parents with practical skills and the confidence to use them. The charity stresses the skills “could make all the difference in an emergency”.
Topics covered include an unconscious baby or child (breathing or not breathing), choking, bleeding, burns and raised temperatures.
Parents, grandparents or anyone else who looks after young children can attend.
The course costs £20 for a day’s training.
It includes a training manual and a three year first aid qualification.
The course will take place at St David’s Church, Eskdale Avenue, Carr Mill, St Helens.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To book email wigansthelensnct@yahoo.
com or call 0844 2436325 no later than Saturday.
