Campaign sees police seize off road motorbikes near New Bold estate
9:31am Friday 9th August 2013 in News
TWO more off road vehicles have been seized as part of a police campaign.
Officers responded to two calls from the public and sent quad patrols out to search land off New Bold Estate.
The scramblers were seized from a group of three men and four children, who had been riding them illegally off road.
It is part of a bid to maintain safer parks and green spaces throughout the summer and keep residents safe.
Inspector Jason Pulford of Merseyside Police said: "This type of anti-social behaviour creates excessive noise and riding on pavements, grassed areas or play areas puts children, older people and others at risk.
"Riders who use these dangerous vehicles on public land will see their bikes confiscated and crushed."
