Countess of Wessex to officially open Whiston Hospital
THE Countess of Wessex will mark the completion of the redevelopment of Whiston Hospital, when she performs the official opening ceremony later today.
During the visit Sophie, will chat to patients, staff and volunteers on several wards in the hospital.
A spokesperson from St Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust said that the re-development has been the “biggest and most significant project” in their history and the largest investment in healthcare in this area since the formation of the NHS.
