Gunge Dee-light: How Haydock High teachers help raked in the pounds

Dee Griffiths was drowned in green slime for charity.
A DEPUTY head teacher showed what a good sport she is by allowing pupil to ‘gunge’ her for Comic Relief.
Dee Griffiths was left looking like a character out of Shrek after being drowned in green slime at Haydock High School.
It was one of the episodes of fun across St Helens held to mark Red Nose Day.
Haydock’s effort raised more than £1,000, with pupils selling cakes, donating money in return for wearing something red and staging a lunchtime concert in the sports hall.
The teachers were not to be outdone – adding to Mrs Griffiths’ wacky exploits were Wayne Alexander, who walked around school all day dressed in a ‘onesie’, Paul Rollinson (hair sprayed red), Alan McKeegan (leg wax) and Paul Maskew, who had his moustache shaved off.
