St Helens Council gives details of Easter bin and recycling collections
BIN and recycling schedules for the Easter holidays have just been announced by St Helens Council.
Brown bins:
If your brown bins are due to be collected on Good Friday (March 29), they will be now collected the following day - Saturday, March 30.
From Easter Monday – and all that week - bins will be collected one day later than normal.
Green bins:
Green bin collections scheduled for Good Friday will be collected on Saturday, March 30.
From Easter Monday (April 1) – and all that week - bins will be collected one day later than normal If your normal collection day is Saturday, March 30 or Saturday, April 6, there will be no collection. So please put your bin out in two weeks’ time.
Kerbside black box, blue bag and plastic bottle collections:
If your collections are due to take place on either Good Friday or Easter Monday there will be no collections – so please put out your recycling two weeks’ later. There are no changes for the other days.
The council also advises people to : Remember to put your brown and green bins by 6:30am in the morning to make sure they are collected.
And don’t forget to ‘wash and squash’ your plastic bottles and cans – it will give you more space in your recycling containers. You can also recycle at the bring banks and any of the four local Household Waste Recycling Centres
