Knowsley Safari Park to celebrate Mother's Day after 'baby boom'
8:00am Saturday 9th March 2013 in News
A GROUP of new mums are opening their doors for a special invitation this Mothers’ Day.
Two new lion cubs and baby baboons will be among those welcoming mums and their cheeky little monkeys to Knowsley Safari Park this Sunday (March 10).
The newest additions to the 550 acre park follow a winter baby boom that looks set to continue into the spring.
Eveline De Wolf, head of Animal Division at Knowsley Safari Park said: “We have seen a real baby boom recently with the births of baby baboons, two new lion clubs and a trio of white rhino calves.
“We encourage all of our animals to interact as they would in the wild, which allows breeding and births to take place naturally.
“All of our new mums are settling well into motherhood. The new babies are full of energy.”
On Sunday, mums get in free with one full paying child. Admission for children is £12, under 3s get in free.
