Boy, 15, among 10 facing drugs plot charges

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy is among 10 people who have now been charged by police following a lengthy investigation into a series of drive-by shootings and arson attacks.

Detectives in St Helens brought allegations against a further three people after initially charging seven, details of which were reported by the Star last week.

The police investigation into a spate of flare ups, which saw gunshots fired at houses and cars torched in Parr and Sutton, stretches back to July 2011.

The violence is allegedly linked to a feud between factions within the traveller community.

The latest charges alleged a further three people were involved in a conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug.

Those accused are: A 15-year-old boy from Parr, who cannot be named for legal reasons; Norman Worrall, 57 of Chester Avenue, Bootle and Mark Jervis, 32 of Surrey Street, Parr.

They have been bailed to appear at St Helens Magistrates’ Court on March 15 along with four men who were charged last week with multiple offences.

The charges of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug, conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life /enable another to do so and conspiracy to commit arson have been brought against: Eugene Price, 31 of Sherdley Road, Sutton; Christopher Lunt, 26 of Sandy Lane, Wigan; David John Doolan, 27, and Alan Doolan, 22, both of Gray Street, Bootle.
