Sarah Charles: wants to trace her ‘guardian angel’ Sarah Charles: wants to trace her ‘guardian angel’

THE husband of a woman who suffered a near fatal heart attack in the town centre is looking for the “guardian angel” who saved her life.

Sarah Charles, 40, was clinically dead for 15 minutes after she collapsed while out for a walk with husband Chad.

As she recovers in hospital, Chad is still reeling from the shock.

The 42-year-old, who has been married to Sarah for five years said: “We were outside WH Smith, when all of a sudden she went down holding her back.

“She had no pulse. This bloke turned up and started giving her mouth-to-mouth. Then this amazing woman turned up and told him he was doing it wrong and started to massage Sarah’s heart.

“I’m not sure what she looks like because I was in so much of a panic. I’m not sure if she’s English. She was with a man who was speaking Polish, I think.

“But it was a good thing that she turned up. The paramedics said she saved Sarah’s life.

“Then shortly after the emergency services turned up, she just seemed to disappear.

“The paramedics gave her oxygen and that didn’t seem to work at first. It was only when the paramedics used the defibrillator that she came back.

“She died again on her way to Whiston and they said she went at least 20 minutes without oxygen going to her brain.

“Even the nurses have said that they can’t believe she is up and talking after the way she was brought in.”

Both scooter enthusiasts and members of the Ace of Spades Club, who have raised thousands for charity, the couple has drawn countless messages of support through Facebook, which he said offered them comfort.

He continued: “I just want to meet this lady and shake her hand. She truly is our angel.”
