MODEL rail fans will want to make tracks for a display this week.

Rainhill Model Railway Club will be hosting their annual exhibition at Rainhill Village Hall at the weekend.

The exhibition attracts hundreds of visitors each year over the two days, and is designed to cater for enthusiasts and families alike.

There will be 15 layouts in six scales, some of which are visiting for the first time.

There will also be demonstrators, traders, a book club shop selling railway memorabilia, and a full refreshment service throughout the show.

There will be a free vintage bus service running each day between the exhibition and the Transport Museum in St Helens, for visitors to enjoy a return trip, or to visit the museum to see its collection of vintage road vehicles.

The exhibition takes place at Rainhill Village Hall, Weaver Avenue, Rainhill. Doors will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.

Admission prices are £3.50 for adults, £3 for children and Concessions and £10 for families.
