Crook jailed after break-in

A 23-YEAR-OLD man who broke into a motoring unit has been handed a jail sentence.

Lee Leatherbarrow, of no fixed address, broke into unit 15 at Travis Autos, Sutton Oak Drive on February 18.

He was jailed for 12 weeks after St Helens Magistrates’ Court heard he had committed the offence while serving a suspended sentence.

The suspended jail term, for possessing a blade, had been imposed just a fortnight earlier.

Leatherbarrow pleaded guilty at St Helens Magistrates’ Court, which ordered a Landrover Discovery be seized by police under the criminal courts act 2000.
