Boy, 17, denies stealing from elderly home

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been remanded in custody after being charged with stealing a television from a support centre for older people.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of trespassing on the Brookfield Support Centre on Park Road, St Helens on February 12.
It is alleged he then stole an LCD television.
The teenager denies the charge.
Magistrates in St Helens remanded him in custody and a trial date has been set for April 10.
