TRIBUTES are being paid to a highly respected secondary school headteacher who died at the weekend.

Monica Gallimore, 64, principal at St Cuthberts Secondary School in Parr, passed away on Saturday following a battle with illness.

A statement on the school’s website read: “We are sorry to inform you that Mrs Gallimore, our much-loved principal, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 16.”

such sad news
mrs gallimore was an exceptional lady
who loved her pupils and put her heart and soul into st cuthberts
she will be sadly missed by a lot of people
thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends x
