Two taken to hospital after M62 crash at Rainhill

TWO people were taken to hospital after emergency crews were called out to a road collision on the M62.

It happened on a slip road as the car was entering the westbound carriageway of junction 7 at Rainhill Stoops.

The driver and passenger were out of the vehicle before firefighters arrived.

They were treated by paramedics and taken to Whiston Hospital for a precautionary check.
