Martial arts squad celebrate the Year of the Snake

THE Chinese New Year was welcomed to St Helens with a stunning display of martial arts and a ceremonial lion dance.
It was brought to life by students at the Dragon Sport Academy in Sutton, who led the lion on a procession accompanied by a drum and cymbals.
Ranging in ages, they also gave a demonstration of Shaolin Kung Fu and San Shou Chinese kick boxing, using bare hand and weapon routines.
