Grahame Frodsham is fuming over the theft of the statue
A STATUE dedicated to a man's late wife, which took pride of place in the front garden has been stolen by heartless thieves.
The two foot tall figurine of a woman holding a Greek urn stood beside a small onyx block bearing the name of Grahame Frodsham’s wife Sandra.
Grahame, 53, from Haydock said he is angry and disappointed: “It’s not worth anything, but it has huge sentimental value.
“It was handed down to my wife from her mum.
“I’m having some work done at the house and I didn’t notice it was missing at first.
“I think someone must have taken it in the early hours.”
A devoted couple for 25 years, Sandra died in 2005 from a chronic lung disease. They had no children.
He added: “It annoys me because they came onto my property. It’s made out of concrete and takes two people to move it.
“If it had been knocked over there would have been some markings on the floor.
“Anyone with half a brain would realise that it was there for a reason.”
