Three incidents have been reported within the space of just two weeks from filling stations in West Park, Rainhill Stoops and Sutton.

The first, captured on these CCTV images, when a light blue Ford Focus pulled into Morrisons filling station on Boundary Road and the driver filled up with £65 worth of fuel before leaving without paying.

Less than a week later a blue Focus was filled with £60 of petrol at the Texaco garage on Warrington Road, Rainhill. The driver left without paying.

Days later the same vehicle was spotted at on Elton Head Road, where the driver put in £43 worth of fuel. Again the driver left without paying.

All three thefts were reported to the police and following enquiries officers believe that a similar car, bearing the registration plate DK04 YKP had been involved each time.

Detectives believe that the plate was stolen from a black Ford Fiesta earlier on December 29 last year near the Raven Lodge, Church Street, St Helens.
